Personal data that we process

Yellow Research B.V. processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process

• First and last name
• Email address
• Address details
• Other personal data that you actively provide, for example in correspondence, by phone, or by creating a profile on the online platform where we offer our online training resources
• Data about your activities on the online platform where we host our online training resources
• Data relating to your gender, date of birth, and place of birth is processed by us if you choose to share this information with us. However, we will never request such data

Yellow Research B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• To deliver services to you
• To inform you about changes to our services
• To be able to call or email you if necessary to carry out our services
• To process your payment
• To offer you the possibility to create an account on the online platform where we provide our online training resources
• To send our newsletter and/or training offers
• Yellow Research B.V. also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data we need for our tax filings

Confidential and/or sensitive personal data

To provide our services, you may share documents containing personal data with us. You are not required to include sensitive personal data (such as information about your health, race or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation). We advise you not to provide such information unless necessary. We emphasize that we will never actively use or analyze sensitive data unless at your request. We will never extrapolate or copy sensitive data into our notes or systems.

We store confidential data securely (for example, using encrypted storage and secure email). Access is limited to individuals for whom access is strictly necessary to provide the services. They are always bound by confidentiality obligations.

Automated decision-making

Yellow Research B.V. does not use automated decision-making.

How long we retain personal data

Yellow Research B.V. does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We retain your data for a maximum of 7 years in order to comply with tax legislation. Accounts that have been inactive for two years on the online platform we use to share our training materials will be deleted.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Yellow Research B.V. shares your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our service and to comply with any legal obligation. We enter into a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Yellow Research B.V. remains responsible for these processing activities.

Cookies or similar technologies

Yellow Research B.V. only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone upon your first visit to this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and ease of use. They ensure that the website functions properly and, for example, remember your preference settings. They also allow us to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can delete all information previously stored via your browser settings.

Accessing, modifying, or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Yellow Research B.V., and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organization specified by you.

You can send a request to access, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to jaspers@yellowresearch.nl.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we may ask you to provide a copy of your identity document. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

How we protect personal data

Yellow Research B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification.
