YELLOW RESEARCH TRAINING

Marie Curie Individual Fellowships in H2020

1. Workshop

Marie Curie Individual Fellowships in H2020 involve European and Reintegration Fellowships (held in Member States or associated countries) as well as Global Fellowships (based on a secondment to a Third Country). Even though the budget of the Marie Curie actions is increased in H2020, the competition is expected to be fierce. The MSCA IF proposal needs to address an outstanding research project and an outstanding training programme. Based on the experiences in Marie Curie as well as with other individual grants like ERC, this workshop provides you with valuable information and input for writing a competitive H2020 Marie Curie IF proposal. The deadline for the 2019 Call is 11 September 2019.

2. Programme Outline

We provide you with solid background information about the objectives, the policy context, and the basic principles of the Marie Curie Individual Fellowships of H2020. We will focus on the evaluation procedure and the 3 (consolidated) evaluation criteria: Excellence, Impact, and Implementation. We aim to increase your understanding of the overall evaluation process by explaining the expectations of the European Commission and by giving examples of best practice.

3. Outcome

Participants obtain general and latest information about the H2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie actions, in particular about the Individual Fellowships. Participants receive strategic and practical input for writing competitive Individual Proposals.

4. Who should attend?

This workshop is primarily intended for experienced researchers planning to go abroad to do research for a period of up to 2 years. In addition, this workshop is of value to senior academic staff intending to recruit experienced researchers from abroad to strengthen the research capacity of their institute. Finally, this course is also valuable for EU support staff.

5. Methodology

Participants are provided with solid background information. Hands-on experience will be facilitated by a number of interactive exercises. Moments of discussions are included in the programme to stimulate exchange of views between participants and trainers.

The seminar is in English, with no translation.
