Marie Curie Project Management

The workshop will take place at the premises of Yellow Research in Amsterdam.

Workshop

This workshop informs you about the managerial side of Marie Curie projects in particular. The specific nature of Marie Curie projects translates into specific management issues.

We will discuss project management for both Marie Curie individual actions as well as for host-driven actions.

Programme Outlines

We will provide you with the necessary information to successfully administer & manage Marie Curie projects. We will discuss the contractual, legal and financial principles of Marie Curie projects and how these are the same or different from the cooperation activities. A thorough understanding of these principles will help you understand what project officers from REA expect from you.

The Marie Curie Grant Agreement is the leading document for discussing the obligations with regard to reporting, financial administration and recovery of costs, recruitment and secondment of fellows, as well as any (progress) report to be submitted.

Where appropriate we will point out the legal aspects to be covered in a consortium agreement and/or the fellow agreement. We will provide you with a checklist for amending the DESCA consortium agreement.

We will dig into to the reporting requirements and guide you through the documents for Marie Curie reporting.

Outcome

Participants will obtain a thorough understanding of contractual, legal and financial issues related to the Marie Curie programme, and information and guidance with respect to the recruitment and secondment policies and to the reporting requirements.

A thorough understanding of Marie Curie managerial issues will facilitate project management and your interactions with the REA project officer.

Who should attend

This workshop will be of value for researchers and EU Liaison Officers, project managers, project administrators and legal officers, both experienced and non-experienced.
