Amsterdam – Schiphol Airport

We recommend that you travel by train to/from Amsterdam – Schiphol Airport.

Especially during rush hour, the roads around Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport are very busy. Train travel takes about 20 minutes while a taxi might take over 40 minutes.

On Schiphol, the trains depart from the platforms below the Airport Plaza. Trains are very frequent (up to ten times an hour) and easy to use.

A single ticket costs € 4,20 and are sold at vending machines. Payment options are coins or credit card. Be sure to validate your ticket before you enter the train, check-in points are available at the escalators to the train platforms.

Walking directions to the office

  • After arrival at Amsterdam Centraal Station, walk towards the back side of the station, exit the building at IJ-zijde (waterside);
  • In front of you is the IJ river, the road is called “De Ruiterkade”. Continue right onto “De Ruiterkade” making sure to keep the water on your left hand side and the station on the right hand side;
  • Carry on walking on the waterside pavement and continue straight on at the traffic lights. The pavement elevates slightly onto a ramp;

  • After 200 metres (walking onto the ramp), there are music venues on your left hand (“Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ” and “Bimhuis”) and a hotel (“Mövenpick hotel”);
  • Continue straight on and pass, among others, buildings called “Piet Hein” and office buildings housing “Funda”;
  • Walk to the next traffic lights on Vemenplein and cross the street (see below);

  • After crossing the street walk left towards “Pakhuis de Zwijger”. Don’t take the bridge under passing “Pakhuis de Zwijger” but stay close to the building pictured right;
  • After 10 metres, there’s a corridor on the right hand side, this is called “Veembroederhof” (A point of reference is the company “DKTP Information Technology” located on the left hand corner);
  • After 20 metres, our office entrance is a yellow door on the left hand side.

Tram directions to the office

Amsterdam trams are cashless. You can purchase a single ticket for €2,90 on the tram using a contactless or Chip-and-PIN payment card.

Tickets can also be bought at vending machines with the letters “GVB” using credit card or coins.

  • Exit the railway station at the front, it’s called “Stationsplein”;
  • Tram 26 departs from the left side of the railway station;
  • Exit the tram at “Kattenburgerstraat” stop;
  • Cross the street towards “Pakhuis de Zwijger”;

  • After crossing the street walk left towards “Pakhuis de Zwijger”. Don’t take the bridge under passing “Pakhuis de Zwijger” but stay close to the building pictured right;

Taxi/Car

You can take a taxi from the Airport or the Station but the roads can be very busy.  Public transport offers a quicker and cheaper option. If you travel by car, please visit this website for details of parking near to our offices:
